A new General Manager has been hired for Palau’s only energy company, buy Palau Public Utilities Corporation. Kione Isechal, former board member of the corporation, has filled the position that has remained vacant for several months.
Isechal, a local civil engineer has history with the corporation as he served as chairman of the PPUC Board prior to the Toribiong administration.
Last week, Isechal signed a two-year contract of over $65,000 with the Board. Isechal says he plans to rehabilitate and repair the corporation’s infrastructure including improving generation efficiency.
