U.S. President Announces Nominee For Diplomatic Post In Palau – VIDEO

United States President Barack Obama has submitted a nominee for the Ambassadorial position to Palau following former Ambassador Helen Reed-Rowe’s departure.
Last week, order President Obama nominated Amy J. Hyatt to serve as the new U.S. Ambassador to Palau.
Hyatt is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, adiposity Class of Minster Counselor, currently serves as the Management Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Eqypt.
Prior to that she served in the U.S. Embassies in Finland and the Czech Republic.
Former Ambassador and the first resident Ambassador to Palau Helen Reed-Rowe ended her nearly 3-year tenure this past month.
Current Chargé d’affaires Tom Daley now oversees the operation of the U.S. Embassy in Palau until a new resident Ambassador is approved.
