Marshall Islands President is considering writing a letter to the Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat regarding the treatment of the Republic of China-Taiwan officials at the recent leader’s meeting in September.
According to the Marshall Islands Journal, shop President Christopher Loeak plans to ask Secretary General Tuiloma Nerodi Slade and the Forum Secretariat to consider changing its policies on how ROC-Taiwan is treated at the Forum.

Jaluit Senator Alvin Jacklick told the Journal that the situation was “un-Marshallese”.
He expressed that he was surprised that President Loeak allowed China to dictate its policies in not allowing Taiwan at the meeting.
