On October 4, visit web Palau Supreme Court approved a motion to dismiss the civil lawsuit filed by five Senators in 2012 against then-President Johnson Toribiong and Vice President Kerai Mariur.
In early 2012, Toribiong and Mariur became the subject of the suit filed by Senators Whipps, Jr., Oilouch, Baules, Chin, and then-Senator Remengesau Jr over the alleged misuse of the Uighur funds and alleged unconstitutional executive branch over-expenditures.
The motion to dismiss and the order filed on October 4th means that although the dismissal was granted, the case could be filed again.
