A young Palauan man was fatally shot on New Year’s Day in Colorado Springs, information pills Colorado in the United States.
According to online reports, buy more about Olajuwan Kumangai also known as “Olai” was found dead with a gun shot wound outside of an apartment complex on the morning of January 1, 2014.
The Colorado Springs police department reports that a call was made on the morning of New Year’s Day reporting gunshots fired at Antero Apartment Complex.
A neighbor told reporters that she heard a gun shot at around 7:00 am followed by the sounds of two women and a man screaming.
Upon arrival, police officers found Kumangai who was pronounced dead on the scene.
Hours after the reported shooting, police officers arrested 30-year old Matthew John DeJong on suspicion of first-degree murder.
According to information from the Colorado Springs police department, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are continuing investigation and conducting interviews with witnesses.
Sources say Kumangai moved to the United States after joining the United States Army. He was reportedly still in basic training.
