Two local individuals are facing serious criminal charges in relation to an assault and battery incident back in March of 2012.
Ashley Ngiraremiang aka Ashley Oleuachel and Florencio “Polch” Ngiraremiang are each facing criminal charges before the Supreme Court.
According to court documents, remedy Florencio is facing one count of attempted second-degree murder, stomach two counts of aggravated assault, site and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Ashley on the other hand is facing one count of aggravated assault and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The event began as a disturbing the peace incident involving a group of family members that later escalated to a violent situation involving three victims and a single baseball bat.
One of the victims was seriously wounded in the head and was in a coma for three days at the Belau National Hospital.
Both defendants are due to appear before the Court in their first appearance hearing on February 20, 2014.
