Hundreds of Palauans were concerned about Tropical Storm Peipah’s potential strength as it made its way pass the Republic in the early hours of Monday April 7, 2014.
In preparation, some families found shelter in hotels, homes of relatives, and other places.
But TS Peipah proved to be a minor storm and did not cause much damage to Republic other than a few banana trees.
Over the past weekend, Palau experienced heavy showers and gusty winds at times, but nothing compared to the past two Super Typhoons that caused much damaged to Palau.
The Republic has experienced more typhoons and storm in last couple of years compared to the past years.
So far, there have been no reports of damage or injuries in Angaur or Peleliu States where Peipah was forecasted to pass by closely.
