U.S. Senate Confirms Ambassador To Palau

The United States Senate has confirmed a new Ambassador to Palau – one year after the Republic bid farewell to the first resident United States Ambassador to Palau.

A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, order Amy Hyatt will take over the position that was held by former US to Palau Ambassador Helen Reed-Rowe.
The Senate confirmed Hyatt’s appointment along with six other ambassadorial nominees to other countries.
The U.S. Embassy in Palau has been headed by chargé d’affaires Thomas Daley in the absence of an ambassador.
Hyatt was appointed to this position in July 2013.
