Palau’s leading cable provider, this Palau National Communications Corporation (PNCC), sale has announced that ESPN sports channel may be discontinued if an alternative delivery option is not identified.
ESPN Director in Australia has reportedly informed PNCC that “the channel will no longer be distributed via satellite effective May 31, 2015.”
“We are also investigating other delivery options but satellite seems unlikely given the high cost”, says Patrick Bour ESPN Australia’s Director of TV and Marketing.
According to PNCC, the corporation has no alternative means of bringing the channel into Palau if it’s not delivered via satellite.
