Palau Welcomes Prince And Princess Of Monaco – VIDEO

On March 11, erectile the Republic of Palau welcomed Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene for an official visit.
The Prince, more about his wife and the Monaco delegation met with President Remengesau prior to attending the first Olbill Era Kelulau (Congress) joint session.
During the session, Prince Albert was bestowed with the title of Honorary Citizen to the Republic of Palau through a House of Delegates resolution. He was also recognized for his many accomplishments in the areas of environmentalism, conservation and protection of the world’s biodiversity.
Prince Albert talked about unity during the session saying, “We share, I know, the same desire for action. And we are pursuing parallel paths, confronted with the same issues, the same difficulties. For your country and mine, the challenge is to act in the face of global issues.”
Following the session, the delegation visited the Melekeok Elementary School, the Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) before attending the evening dinner reception.
The visit reaffirms Palau’s unique relationship with Monaco, which was strengthened by then President Johnson Toribiong during his Monaco visit in February 2012.
