CBS News reports that Mexico currently holds a 32.8 percent adult obesity rate.

The U.S. currently holds a 31.8 percent obesity rate.
According to a newly released report by the United Nations, more about Mexico has overtaken the U.S. despite the government’s efforts to eradicate bad eating habits.
Obesity is global issue and one of the leading causes of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and heart attacks.
