A Filipino man, ask who has worked for the popular burger joint in Palau for years, is now in stable condition after he was brutally attacked over the past weekend during a robbery attempt.
The man identified as Jeremiah Pamintalan, an employee of Bem Ermii in Airai was reportedly hacked with a bladed weapon when three unknown male individuals gained access into the Bem Ermii wagon.
The suspects reportedly gained access to the establishment through its back door before midnight on July 20th.
After reportedly questioning Pamintalan about the day’s earnings, the suspects reportedly attacked him.
Initial report revealed that Pamintalan sustained serious injuries to the head and arm.
The Bureau of Public Safety’s Public Information Officer Rebecca Bedangel told OTV that the Criminal Investigations Unit are investigating the case and suspects have not been identified as of date.
This is reportedly not the first time that Pamintalan have come face to face with assailants attempting to rob the place.
Pamintalan remains in the hospital, but his condition has stabilized and has since regained his speech.
