U.S. Coast Guard Search For Missing Mariner Near Palau – VIDEO

The United States Coast is coordinating a search for a 55-year old mariner who reportedly went overboard near Palau on October 23.
Coast Guard Joint Rescue Coordination Center Honolulu received a forwarded distress call from Australia regarding a crewmember that was reported overboard off the motor vessel Taipower Prosperity II in the Philippine Sea near of Palau.
The information was then relayed to the Coast Guard Sector in Guam.
The missing mariner is reportedly the master of the ship.
After a thorough search of all spaces aboard the ship the master was not located and the ship made a 180-degree turn on its course tracking to begin the search.
Involved in the search are the Taipower Prosperity II, remedy Palau’s Patrol Boat Remeliik and the AMVER vessel Ocean Symphony.
Aerial searches are also being conducted by the U.S. Navy and Australia.
