Palauan Woman Enters Guilty Plea To Manslaughter For Her Husband’s Death

A local woman has pled guilty in thea local woman has pled guilty in the Supreme Court of Palau for the death of her police officer husband.

Last week, visit web Madeline Ngireblekluu entered a guilty plea to one charge of voluntary manslaughter for the death of her late husband police officer Raynold Raymond Rebluud.
Ngireblekuu originally faced charges of murder in the second degree, this site voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for a stabbing incident in November 2013 that led Rebluud’s death.
According to court documents, Rebluud sustained a single three-inch stab wound to his left thigh when he attempted to speak to his wife in November 2013.
In the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Ngireblekuu claimed that her husband’s injury happened when the knife she was using to fix her betel nut chew slipped out of her hand.
The plea she entered last week was accepted by presiding judge Chief Justice Arthur Ngiraklsong.
Her sentencing hearing has been scheduled for March 25, 2014.
