Missing Person In Palau Found Underwater

On April 10, ailment 2014 at approximately 3:15 pm, rescuers found a young man who was reported missing on Monday April 7, 2014.

After more than three-days of search on land and underwater, rescuers found the vehicle containing the body of 20-year old Tyler Henry underwater in the M-dock area where he was last seen.
Police officers, Koror State Rangers and other volunteers worked for nearly three hours to retrieve Henry’s vehicle and his body.
Eyewitnesses reports that the vehicle believed to be the 1997 Toyota Marino that Henry owned, was upside down in the water making it difficult for rescuers to remove Henry’s remains.
Officials utilized two boom trucks with cranes that helped overturn the vehicle underwater before pulling it back to land.
When the vehicle was finally pulled out of the water, officials were then able to cut open the vehicle to retrieve Henry’s body.
Henry was then transported to the Belau National Hospital on the back of a Fire Department pick-up truck.
Reports indicate that an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
It’s uncertain how Henry and his vehicle ended up underwater or if any foul play was involved. However according to police officers on the scene, the matter is still under investigation.
