Taiwanese Foreign Worker Accuses Palau Senator of Framing Him

Feng Jui Huang (aka “Richard” Huang), look a Taiwanese national and foreign worker in Palau, buy accused a Palau Senator of framing him in a prostitution ring and money-laundering scheme.

Huang is 53 years old and claims to be a business graduate of China University of Technology.  He works as the general manager of Ever Rich Management Company, owned by Palauan businessman, Lucuis Malsol.  Ever Rich oversees the operation of the DW motel.
However, more recently, Huang became involved in another business, the Shangri-la Massage and Spa.  The Shangri-la operation attracted the attention of local authorities when six of its workers from the Philippines filed complaints with the Palau labor department over allegations that they have been forced into the sex trade.  Police acted quickly on the information and immediately executed warrants at both the motel and the massage parlor seizing assets, including cash found on the premises.

According to the China Times, Huang claims that the investigation was prompted by his adverse relationship with Palau Senator Hokkins Baules.  The relationship between Huang and the Senator Baules soured when Huang married a waitress who was once employed by the Senator.  Huang stated his wife then left the Senator’s employment because of sexual harassment.   The Senator served 90 days in jail for conduct stemming from his illegal treatment of several foreign workers, including Huang’s wife.  There is currently a restraining order against the Senator that prohibits him from having any contact with Huang’s wife.
According to the China Times, Huang accused the Senator of bribing the women employed at Shangri-la to claim that he forced them into prostitution.
Huang has not been charged with any offenses and has contacted the Taiwan embassy for assistance.  He has urged all Taiwan nationals to refrain from visiting Palau and asked the Taiwan government to suspend financial assistance to Palau.
