United Airlines has arranged with the Yap Visitors Bureau and confirmed a special flight from Palau to Yap to support Yap’s Annual Homecoming Festival on June 21, try 2014.
Tickets for this special flight are available at the Palau City Ticket office starting at $390. The special flight will begin on Thursday, order June 19, clinic departing Palau at 12:20 am and arriving in Yap at 2:25 am.
The Festival will be held at the Yap Living History Museum to celebrate the legend and legacy of Captain David Dean O’Keefe who contributed to the special relationship between Yap and Palau with his trading goods and transport of money.
O’Keefe’s great granddaughter, who resides in the Netherlands, will be attending the festival as a special guest.
Palau shares a special history and relationship with Yap.
Each year a number of state and national government representatives attend the annual homecoming festival including Yap Day and other festivities.
